Founded in 1907, Grasset is one of France's leading publishers of quality fiction, non-fiction, and children’s literature.
Grasset has a backlist of over 3000 titles (featuring books by Blaise Cendrars, Jean Cocteau, Joseph Delteil, Jean Giono, André Malraux François Mauriac, André Maurois, Henry de Montherlant, Paul Morand, Raymond Radiguet, Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz, Drieu la Rochelle) and publishes approximately 170 new titles a year. Grasset is also renowned for publishing contemporary French authors who have won extraordinary acclaim over the years, including Frédéric Beigbeder, Laurent Binet, Pascal Bruckner, Sorj Chalandon, Annick Cojean, Laetitia Colombani, Virginie Despentes, Gaël Faye, Olivier Guez, Dany Laferrière, Bernard-Henri Levy, Marceline Loridan-Ivens, Amin Maalouf, Léonora Miano, Michel Onfray, Pascal Quignard, Cédric Villani, among others.
We are keen to see our titles translated into foreign languages and welcome requests from publishers.

Translation subsidies (CNL)
In order to promote the publication of quality French books abroad, translation subsidies are available from the Centre National du Livre.
